Reflections, Depth and Light
Sype 013 combines a circular mirror with a steel structure and integrated LED lighting. Light reflects within the circle and repeats progressively, creating an illusion of depth that extends beyond the mirror itself. When switched off, the piece retains the understated presence of a large steel circle; when illuminated, it reveals a succession of reflections that transforms both its perception and the surrounding space.

Sype’s Thoughts
What interests me about an infinity mirror is the contrast between a very simple object and what appears when it is illuminated. Here, the circle remains perfectly legible, while the light repeats its contours until the physical boundary of the mirror seems to disappear. Sype 013 plays with this contradiction: a closed form that nevertheless creates the impression of opening onto endless depth.
