Sype 011 is a sculptural steel wall light built around overlapping circles, discs and squares. The different planes intersect and shift around a central disc, while indirect light emphasises their contours and reveals the craftsmanship of the metal. Depending on the viewing angle, the forms appear to move past one another like bodies in orbit.

Sype's Thoughts
With Sype 011, I wanted to bring together two simple geometries: the circle and the square. By overlapping and offsetting them, the forms begin to revolve around one another. Light accentuates this movement, revealing paths that do not physically exist. The name of the piece, Planets in Orbit, came from this impression of orbital motion
