Sype 004 – Funambule,
Steel Light Sculpturet
Like a steel dancer, Funambule rotates through 180°, tracing its own path of light.
Balance, Movement and Light
Sype 004 is built around a central axis and a raw steel structure whose upper section rotates through 180°. This movement changes the orientation of the composition and the way light spreads through the surrounding space.
Around the E27 bulb, solid forms, open spaces and steel lines create a deliberately fragile balance. As its position changes, Funambule reveals a different silhouette and renews the dialogue between steel, light and shadow.

Sype’s Thoughts
Funambule reflects my fascination with unstable balance. Its moving section embodies the fragile gesture of a tightrope walker, suspended between falling and control. Light itself becomes movement, like a breath that makes the material shift.
