Sype 014 is a sculptural table light built around two deliberately contrasting faces. On one side, a succession of steel circles creates a precise, ordered geometry. On the other, rebar and annealed wire form a freer, rawer structure. A single LED source passes through both expressions of steel, revealing different textures and patterns depending on the viewing angle.

Sype’s Thoughts
With Sype 014, I wanted to explore two almost opposite ways of working with the same material. On one side, regular circles, precisely constructed and controlled; on the other, rebar and annealed wire with a much freer character. The light is the only element that remains unchanged. As you move around the piece, these two personalities gradually reveal themselves.
