Sype 007 – L’Arche d’Ombre is a handcrafted steel light sculpture built around three slender uprights that meet and cross above the light source. At its centre, light passes through perforated metal and casts shadows that extend the structure into the surrounding space. The composition explores the tension between stability and lightness, raw steel and illumination.

Sype’s Thoughts
With L’Arche d’Ombre, I wanted to build a shelter around light. Three steel lines rise, cross and seem to hold a fragile balance. At the centre, light remains suspended, almost protected, while shadows extend the structure beyond the material itself.
