Sype 022 is a sculptural steel table lamp built around an arrangement of stacked and offset H-sections. Light travels through the openings, catches the steel surfaces and projects their shadows beyond the sculpture. Between mass and transparency, Babel H transforms an industrial construction element into luminous architecture.

Sype's Thought
With Sype 022, I wanted to build a form from a single repeated element: the H-section. Stacked, offset and rotated, these steel profiles create an architecture that appears almost disordered. At its centre, light passes through the mass and projects a second construction onto the walls, made of shadows and light. Babel H exists as much through its material presence as through what it draws around itself.
