Sype 006 – Steel Spiral,
Artistic Light Sculpture
A handcrafted steel light sculpture where concentric forms transform light into movement.
Balance, Movement & Light
Sype 006 explores the boundary between light sculpture and artistic lighting. A sequence of handcrafted steel rings gradually shifts around the central light source, creating the illusion of a spiral in motion. Light passes through the structure and reflects against the steel, transforming a functional lamp into a sculptural object shaped by geometry, shadow and perspective.

Sype’s Thoughts
With Sype 006, I wanted to bring movement to a form that remains still. The rings repeat and gradually shift, drawing a spiral around the light. Steel brings structure and precision, while the rhythm disrupts the viewer’s perception: depending on the angle, the sculpture seems to rotate, tighten or open. Light becomes the link between these forms, revealing a movement that exists only in appearance.
